We were back and forth on going out of town or staying in Zurich for Mother's Day and our Anniversary. The weather looked terrible everywhere but Zurich. At the last minute it changed to Sunny in Lugano so we took off saturday morning and decided to stay the night to celebrate. It was totally worth it. The weather was beautiful in Lugano. Most importantly it was SUNNY!! We haven't seen much of the sun in the last few weeks/ months. Henri was an excellent traveler. He didn't sleep much but hung out and caught all the ladies's attention. All the Swiss ladies were cooing at him and talking to him during the trip. The italian one's were all over him too once we got to lugano.
Lugano is definitely a strolling by the water kind of town. So we headed straight to the lake and parked ourselves on a bench to relax by the water. Plus Henri needed to eat. They had a park and a beautiful old town so we walked around for most of Saturday enjoying the nice weather.

We checked into our hotel in the late afternoon. The hotel was so great. They had already taken our luggage to our room and set up a crib for henri. On all 3 of our pillow's were little tiny cookies. It was really sweet. We let Henri roll around for a little while on our bed and got ready for dinner.

We found a really nice restaurant on top of the hill where we could see out on Lugano. Henri wasn't really all about dinner but as soon as he started eating he was much better.

We tried to keep to our normal schedule at home which worked out well except for bath time. We didn't bring henri's bath seat because we didn't realize there was a tub. So Adam, Mr. Bathtime, got in and held Henri in the tub. Then proceeded to scrub him down quickly. Quickly was not soon enough for Henri. This was new and he did not like it. He freaked out in about 5 seconds. Adam scrubbed fast and handed him to me. I had to roll him in the towel and walk around our room for a few minutes before he stopped freaking out. After that episode we got him in his jammies, fed, and he was out in about 30 min.
On Sunday, we had breakfast, walked around town a little more, then caught the 12:10 train back to Zurich. We wanted the afternoon/evening to get Henri back on track before monday. Overall Henri was fantastic on the entire trip and we are looking forward to more trips in our future now.
